SPOKANE --- A couple allegedly shoplifted $18 worth of diapers from a Spokane Safeway last weekend, possibly part of a growing trend of desperation crimes triggered by the recession.

- Amanda attended the private schools via scholarships and worked hard to earn the money herself to spend that year in school in Italy. She was paying for it herself by working for it like the rest of us.

- Yes she does speak Italian really well NOW! After spending 4 years in jail where EVERYONE speaks Italian it would be pretty sad if she couldn't.

- The people in power now are responding to what has been going on in the last 8 years. Who was in power when this war was started and took money from the social security fund to support it? Who was the one in charge when our economy started going down hill so badly and did nothing to stop it.

- Rush Limbaugh says things he shouldn't all of the time and crosses the line regularly but two wrongs don't make a right. Just because Rush does something wrong, does not give someone else an excuse to do so. She went too far with the comments about Rush.

- I think it should be 10 years with a chance for reappointment, but they should be allowed to retire anytime that they wanted before that. This would not favour either party or any one way of thinking.

- What is wrong with a kid sitting and talking peacefully? What is wrong with a child looking out the window and watching people or things out the window? What is wrong with a child bringing a book if they need?
